Online Permit for Regional Tourist (India, Bangladesh and Maldives)

In order to streamline and facilitate smooth visitation for the tourist mainly from Bangladesh, India and Maldives.  Jointly with the Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs and the Tourism Council of Bhutan have launched the online permit System. Which means now visitors from above mentioned countries can avail e-permit in advance to their arrival in Bhutan similar to International tourist which includes entry permit clearances and route permit. However, this system facilitates the online processing of permits for regional tourists through registered Bhutanese tour operators only through entry from Paro and Phuentsholing. The only valid required travel documents accepted will be passport copies having six (6) months’ validity after arrival in Bhutan.
