Funeral

In Bhutan as majority of people are Buddhist so they believe life after death (rebirth). According to Buddhist traditions deceased are criminated and follows certain specific day for deceased to be criminated as per astrology. To ensure that and to clean bad deeds committed by the deceased during his life time many rituals are performed, at the time of funeral. On the 7^th, 14^th, 21^st and 49^th day, several rituals are performed and several prayer flags are hoisted in honour of the deceased person.
